Ledger Agent Intent is for anyone who already owns a compatible Ledger signer and wants an AI agent to prepare transactions for review, without handing over their keys.

Wallet CLI is for individuals and developers who want to drive Ledger Wallet via an agent or via the terminal.

Ledger Enterprise CLI and Ledger Enterprise Multisig CLI are for treasury teams and institutions running agent-assisted, quorum-approved workflows.

No. Ledger has developed this suite of services to ensure you stay in control of your keys. Your agent can read your accounts and prepare proposals, but it cannot move funds. Ledger Agent Intent is designed so that every transaction requires your signature on your Ledger signer, and so that your device shows what you’re approving before you execute . Your private keys are not shared with any agent.

Yes. Ledger Agent Intent and Ledger Agent Stack are available and free to use. Ledger Agent Intent is in beta: many items are still in development, and supported actions, behaviour, and URLs can change without notice.

If you want an AI agent to help manage your own crypto, with transfers gated by your signer, use Ledger Agent Intent or Ledger Wallet CLI.

If you want to build an app or agent integration, opt for DMK Skills.

If you want to run treasury or multisig operations for your team, choose Ledger Enterprise Services CLI or Ledger Enterprise Multisig CLI.

Two apps, same principle as everything mentioned above: your Ledger signer is designed to be the gate.

Security Key (FIDO2). Your Ledger signer becomes your hardware authenticator for services like GitHub, npm, 1Password, Discord. Agents can use sessions you have already opened; Ledger Security Key is designed so that they cannot independently start new ones. A human had to be there to open the session.

OpenPGP. Your Ledger holds the private key that decrypts your sensitive material — API tokens, environment variables, credentials. In tap-required mode, OpenPGP is designed so that every decryption needs your physical confirmation.

⚠ OpenPGP is for advanced users. The app is aimed at developers already comfortable with OpenPGP and GnuPG. Keys do not automatically persist across devices, OS updates, or app reinstalls — back them up using the instructions in the app-openpgp repository, or you risk losing access to anything encrypted against them.

Ledger's hardware root of trust extends the same protection from your transactions to what your agent reads, types, and logs into.

Ledger Agent Intent and Ledger Agent Stack work with agents that can act on your behalf. Agents that can run commands in a terminal can use Ledger Agent Skills and the Ledger Wallet CLI, including:

• Background agents: OpenClaw, Hermes, Grok Bot, Muse, and Dots are good examples. The agent works on its own, and when it needs to act, you approve on your Ledger device on your own time.

• Coding agents: Claude Code, Cursor and Codex are good examples for Agent Stack, which includes the Ledger Wallet CLI and DMK skills.

If you want private, model-agnostic routing, you can also use Venice AI through its API.

New agents launch all the time. If they have terminal access, they can use Ledger Agent Stack out of the box.
